Dozis Zokhuni Machinist & Construction company was founded in 2020 by Elton Fortuin. The company has been operating for five years on a part time scale mainly as a hobby. During the Covid 19 pandemic in 2020, a lot of companies laid off their staff indefinitely, of which I was negatively impacted. During the Covid 19 pandemic, I received an increase of requests for household kitchen installations and built-in wardrobes. Due to the sudden surge of client referrals and observing a lot of unemployed individuals in my community struggling to make ends meet, I saw an opportunity to start my own business and also train and equip young unemployed people in my community but not limited to, in the art and lifelong skill of Carpentry
Elton Fortuin passed his trade test in 2000 and is a certified tradesman as a Joiner and Woodmachinist. He has received an award for outstanding performance during his apprenticeship in 1997 backed up with 20 years of work experience in the Construction and Carpentry industry. Elton is skilled and efficient in reading and understanding architectural drawings and plans. He can also do personalised, customised designs.

To offer volunteers a school where they may acquire the trade and ability of carpentry and construction, as I feel this expertise will always be needed. A Person with such ambition will never go hungry or lack income. This is how we contribute to social responsibility in our community.
